DAY 25! That's a quarter of 100 days. 25 days is a long time. But time flies when you're having fun. So, I mean, lunch is a pretty fast half-hour of my life.
Life is great. Life is a good thing that God gave us. There is one thing that no matter what, though, as teenagers we cant change in our beautiful, marvelous lives. That thing is homework.
Homework. Even if we choose to ignore it, its gonna come back and bite us. Figuratively of course. But it can literally ruin our lives. Because homework is the inescapable thing that our PARENTS can dangle over our heads and tease us with. Its a weapon.
I wonder what being an adult is like... Not having to get graded on what you do. At least not on an "A-F" scale. When you're an adult you can talk your way in and out of things, while with homework assignments: Its pretty straight forward, not to mention a pass or fail.
The story of Pandora's Box was the tale of when a woman named Pandora received a box as a gift, which she was instructed NOT to open. She was extremely tempted by what was inside, and she idiotically opened the box to see what it contained to cure her curiosity. Out of the box dashed all of the evils of the world like "war", "greed", "fear", etc. There was one small light in the very bottom of this box: Hope. Hope that we can overcome the evils of the world. What a crappy gift.
The "hope" of the evil of homework..... Extra credit.
EXTRA CREDIT! Its a symphony of angels to any students ears. Its free points. It makes us feel as if the joke is on the teacher: "HAHA you gave us extra credit, even if you hate my work you're FORCED to give me points MUAHAHAHA". It makes the poor, depressed, lost student feel powerful and worthy.
At least until the next homework assignment rolls around. Then we go back to being the victims.
