Day 26: Confidence

Old Navy blouse, True Religion corduroys skinny pants, denim TOMS.
I often look at myself in the mirror and think to myself: "I am so sexy, not even my eyes can help from watering at the sight of my gorgeous features.  You're perfect Mads."  Yeah.  Bet you didn't know that I did THAT in my spare time.
Anyways, today was most certainly NOT one of those moods this morning.  Today I felt like I wasn't my normal sparkle-when-you-see-me self.  I was less then that.
Like Gary Galindo says: "Its all about attitude."  So I drank three cups of coffee and made it through the day with a huge smile on my face, practically bouncing off of the walls.
Speaking of the big guy, its Gary's birthday!  Sometimes I'm pretty positive my friends like my dad more then they like me.  I cant blame them.  I have an awesome father.  He always says these little things that boost your day up and make you think...  I call them "Philosophies by Gary".  Hes a very sweet dude.  He has many nicknames including GareBear, G-swag, Lary, and Retard.  I just call him Daddy (and Retard).  Happy birthday old man!
Today was National Coffee Day, so it was only appropriate that I drink three cups of coffee, right?  Coffee is the light to the darkness of morning.  The guarantee that you'll make it through the next six hours without falling asleep.  It tastes good too, so that's a bonus.  Of course, that is my opinion.  Many people find coffee repulsive.  Well, I find water to be disgusting.  Sue me.
Coffee is the reason I can get up in the morning, look at myself in the mirror, and ensure myself confidently that I'm the best I can possibly be.  Its all about attitude.

Day 25: The Deadliest Weapon

Forever 21 skirt, "HELLA" shirt by Fujii App(ar)le, black Vans.
DAY 25!  That's a quarter of 100 days.  25 days is a long time.  But time flies when you're having fun.  So, I mean, lunch is a pretty fast half-hour of my life.
Life is great.  Life is a good thing that God gave us.  There is one thing that no matter what, though, as teenagers we cant change in our beautiful, marvelous lives.  That thing is homework.
Homework.  Even if we choose to ignore it, its gonna come back and bite us.  Figuratively of course. But it can literally ruin our lives.  Because homework is the inescapable thing that our PARENTS can dangle over our heads and tease us with.  Its a weapon.
I wonder what being an adult is like... Not having to get graded on what you do.  At least not on an "A-F" scale.  When you're an adult you can talk your way in and out of things, while with homework assignments: Its pretty straight forward, not to mention a pass or fail.
The story of Pandora's Box was the tale of when a woman named Pandora received a box as a gift, which she was instructed NOT to open.  She was extremely tempted by what was inside, and she idiotically opened the box to see what it contained to cure her curiosity.  Out of the box dashed all of the evils of the world like "war", "greed", "fear", etc.  There was one small light in the very bottom of this box: Hope.  Hope that we can overcome the evils of the world.  What a crappy gift.
The "hope" of the evil of homework..... Extra credit.
EXTRA CREDIT!  Its a symphony of angels to any students ears.  Its free points.  It makes us feel as if the joke is on the teacher: "HAHA you gave us extra credit, even if you hate my work you're FORCED to give me points MUAHAHAHA".  It makes the poor, depressed, lost student feel powerful and worthy.
At least until the next homework assignment rolls around.  Then we go back to being the victims.

Day 24: Ponder

Charlotte Russe dress, brown belt, sandals.
There are two things I will never do.  First, go on a diet.  I love food way too much.  Second, pretend to be something I'm not.
I'm not popular.  I'm not glamorous.  I'm not a straight A student.  But you know what, that's just fine with me.  Because I'm okay with being ME.  I love being me.  Being me has its ups and downs, but that's called being human.  A human being.  I'm totally alright with having problems in my life because EVERYONE has problems.
Everyone is guilty of saying how their "life sucks", even I am.  But remember that life is a gift.  So treat everyday like it is.
Just think about it.  Ponder.  Be yourself.

Day 23: Its That Time of Year Again

Floral blouse, jeans (that are WAY too big for me), Vans hightops.
Everyone is officially in homecoming mode.  Really, no big deal its not like its in two weeks from now.  Out here in Danville, CA, homecoming is more then just a dance.  Its an event.
Homecoming week is my favorite part of homecoming, not the actual dance.  It means crazy outfits, tons of preppy spirit, and best of all:  People getting ASKED to homecoming.  People are so creative nowadays with the way they ask their dates.  I think its adorable.
Alas, I once again will NOT be asked to homecoming.  Third year running, that must be a record or something?  Oh well, I'm so used to it that it doesn't even affect me now.  Plus the only guy Id want to ask me isn't going to.  So really, its fine.
I'm not even going to the dance, so even if I did get asked, Id have to be my normal heart breaker self and say "no".  So to all of my many admirers, don't get any ideas now...  I don't want to be put in that position.
I don't need a date or a dance though, no.  I mean Monte Vista is going to have an incredible homecoming and everyone is going to have a great time, but its just not for me.  I have my spirit and my crazy outfits and this blog.  I'm a happy camper.
For all the men out there looking at this blog:  God knows that all these lovely ladies are frantically choosing what they're gonna wear to homecoming.  So start to think about what you're gonna wear, match your date and look sharp and put together, but throw a little bit of yourself into your outfit too.  Tuck in your shirt, be a man.

Day 22: Laziness

Pink dress with sparkles, black floral tights, oxfords.
I'm really lazy if you haven't noticed.  I haven't updated this yet and I was supposed to on Friday.  Hope you guys don't have too high of expectations from me.
My theme was sparkles by the way... If no one saw that it was basically written across my forehead.

      I just can't write.  Sorry.
Ally and Alex, I love you though.

Day 20: BAM!

Sparkly tank top, light denim blazer, cross necklace, black shorts, blue and black oxfords.
My theme is pretty apparent this week, in fact, my wonderful friend Blake has named the theme BAM!  So that'll give you a hint I guess on to what my theme is if you haven't guessed by now.
Today, I had an audition for a play that I'm doing in Play Pro, since I'm in Play Pro this year.  I dunno I'm kind of a big deal.  Anyways... My audition:  It made me realize something.  Every aspect of my life is completely out of my power, but that all I can do is try to reach my goals.  And that's all I can do.
My willpower is pretty strong though.  If I really motivate myself to do something, Ill normally get my way.
Other things are just completely out of everyones reach though.  Like boys.  No matter how hard you try, boys just don't pick it up.  Self-determination just isn't something that works out with trying to get a man.  If things are meant to work out, then they will fall into place.  If they aren't meant to work out, then trying is just a waste of time.  Girls like to waste their time, clearly.  Were all a little guilty of that.
I wonder why we try so hard.  Not just with men, but with things like hair and makeup and outfits and the things we say and the stuff we post online.  If no one cared, I then we could all wear comfortable running shorts to school, never get mascara in our eyes, and this blog (in theory) wouldn't even exist.
Good thing we all care, I know you all enjoy my blog so much.
