Day 6: Bad Day

Navy blue Brass Plum skirt, blue cami, mom capris, demin Toms.
You know those days that just start off with a bad sign?  Well, I had one of those days today.  That small sign turned into a nightmare full of mishaps including fogotten homework, wardrobe malfunctions, embaressing question asking, and even a breakdown in the middle of Algebra 2.  Thats right people, I cried in class.  Its really your loss, I'm told I look like a model when I cry.
Just kidding, I wish, I look exactly the oppisite.
If I didn't have my friends around me today, I'm pretty sure I would have driven myself insane.
On top of this horrible day, I came home to five hours of stacked up homework.  Yay life.
I'm not normally one to complain.  In fact, I'm normally the one telling my peers to get over themselves when they are in my position.  Everyone has those days, however, and mine just happened to be today.
Plus, not to mention all the gossip going on in school.  Really people, don't bring people down with rumors, bring them down with fists.  Wow, okay, don't do that, nevermind.  But the point is: ...Words hurt just as much as wounds, sometimes worse... So like Gary (my father) tells me and Jamie Lynn (my beautiful best friend in both of my pictures today) on a constant basis:  "BE NICE."  Because trust me...  Karma may come back, bite you in the butt, and give you a bad day... much like mine today.  Good luck to all the loud-mouths.

Day 5: Awkward Palm Tree

Black lace top, salmon pink bandeau, Forever 21 skirt, and Steve Madden Oxfords.
I probably ran into 5 people in the hallway today trying to get these pictures taken (with the lovely Lexi, Jamie, Amy, and Kelsey).  Which brings me to the phrase of the day: "Awkward Palm Tree".  "Awkward Palm Tree" is the phrase used when things in your life get so awkward that you feel the need to say how awkward it is out loud.  During the use of this phrase, you put your arm up and flail the other arm on top of it making the appearance of a palm tree.
I used this phrase so much today that I learned something: When you point out an awkward situation, it makes the situation even more uncomfortable.  So let that be a lesson to all of you... If you use "Awkward Palm Tree", it won't make anything better.
I do, however, prefer this saying over the WORST awkward-moment-filler in history.  This filler, of course, is "I'm So Tired".  You're tired?  No you aren't.  You might as well say "Nice weather we're having, isn't it?"... at least you can build a conversation off of that.
When I'm not having off-set conversations at school, I'm at home.  Today, I come home to find Susan (my mother) trying to work Facebook.  I had to give her a 20 minute tutorial on the basics of the website.  You would think I was teaching her rocket science, because NOTHING was registering in her mind.  I like my mom, shes a pretty cool person.  That being said, I'd love her to be active on Facebook, but at this point I'm pretty sure it'll take an expert.  Until then, she's having her "Awkward Palm Tree" moments by writing comments and wall posts that are supposed to be private.  Poor thing...

Day 4: Monday Bloody Monday

Navy sparkly Uban Outiftters tank top, grey Forever 21 belt, yellow/green Urban Outfitters skirt.
Well, today is the day reality sinks in... We're back to school and it isn't stopping.  We have real homework now, real work, and real grades that affect our all-too-real day to day lives.
By the end of the day, all of us are so emotionally and phisically exhausted that we just feel like crashing. Well guess what... TOO BAD.  You have two hours of homework to come home to. So the jokes on us I suppose!
Lucky we have a late Tuesday tomrrow, which means an entire extra hour of sleep.  And trust me, for everyone else sake, I need my beauty rest.
Thank you Jamie and Amy for being beautiful and amazing.  My two friends I've known the longest... What else could i ask for?

THEMES

Heres a fun little game...
Next week I'm having a theme with my outfits... Try to see if you can notice it.  Why am I doing this? Ehh... I'm just trying it out to see if I want to make it a normal thing.  I'll need some opinions at the end of the week.  Be honest if it sucks.

Day 3: First Friday

Jean shorts, purple Urban Outfitters tank top, grey H&M sweater, pink Juicy necklace, black Vans.
I felt bad for not posting this on Friday, as if people actually care, but I have a valid excuse... I was on vacation.
Hey, I needed that vacation! It was a hard three days of school, being a junior in high school is draining.
The worst part about the first Friday of school is that you don't have the pleasure of relaxing because you remember that you have to go back to school on the next Monday morning... Bright and early... for 180 days...
No matter. Its not like any of us have a choice... So I'll just live with it.
Thank you Linda and Nellie for looking cuter then me in both of my pictures ;)

Day 2: Reality Sets In

Grey zip-down Forever 21 dress, black Urban Outfitters bandeau, purple Old Navy Sweater, demin Toms.
The second day of school  is by far the hardest day of the entire school year, whether you realize it right away or not. Heres why: The first day of school excitment has bitterly died down and you now understand you have to get up everyday and do this all over again.  Also, you're so exhausted simply because while your body is still in summer and telling you to go to bed at 2:00am and wake up at noon, your dreaded alarm clock says differently.
As my alarm clock went off and played old Taylor Swift songs, I bitterly hit the snooze button, rolled over, and then started to panic cause I had no idea what i was wearing to school... Not a concern of mine until this blog...
Standing with me in my two pictures are two of my BEAUTIFUL best friends: Annalise and Lexi.  Two of the people who will be helping me struggle through junior year... Chico here I come!

Day 1: First Day of School

You see that girl on the far left? Yup, thats me.
Pink crop top with a pink tube top underneath from H&M, jean shorts, denim toms, and i big cross necklace from Urban Outfitters.
I hope you all had a wonderful first day of school, I know I did...  The first day is an oppurtunity to catch up with people you really didn't see over the summer, whether you didn't keep in touch or if you just really didn't care to hang out with them.  Admit it, everyone was high off the feeling of summer and the rush of the new year.  Doesn't it suck that we have to do it all again tomorrow?  Bet you didn't think about that yet, I know I haven't.

Yikes

Well, the first day of school is tomrrow... You know what that means... My very first day of posting.  Ahh the first day of school: The day where everything is so new and exciting, and you work so hard on your outfit and makeup and the only person that notices is your mom because everyone else is so focused on their OWN outfits and their OWN schedules that they don't even bother to look up and observe your hard work. Its frustrating isn't it?
I'm making it my goal to give 5 people compliments tomrrow on their outfits.  I mean maybe I'm just really obnoxiously sensitive... but it makes me a tad upset when no one comments on my first day of school outfit.  So join me if you'd like! Give someone a compliment on their outfit!
And also, happy first day of school...

Welcome All

If youre reading this right now, then HELLO! : You are my new best friend.  Welcome to my blog, the blog where every day of the 2011-2012 school year, I will be posting a picture and description of my outfit.  You may ask yourself: "Why would she do such a crazy. impossible, unrealistic thing like this?"... Well my friends, i need motivation to look cute every day.  So, I figure if I have a following, I'll have to continue to look some-what reasonable for the rest of the school year.  This blog scares me a little bit too.  I'm sure I'll recieve plenty of critisism.  But no matter, no one is being FORCED to check this everyday.  Actually, thats a lie, I'm forcing my friends to.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I will.
