Day 15: Cyber-space

Black tube top, blue maxi skirt, jean jacket, sandals.
Its amazing how fast things spread now.  Information is everywhere for us, and we literally put our lives on the Internet.  That's just what our generation is.  Its how we pick up trends for the outfits we wear and how we behave.  Its what we lean on to get our need-to-know info.
There are three main sources of cyber posting going on in the small town of Danville, CA.
      1. Facebook:  Facebook was the starting point of all social networking that we were aware of (besides MySpace, and thank goodness that didn't last).  Most of us still have Facebook today, but we don't utilize it quite the same way.  Back in the day (7th grade), we used the site for frequent status updates and quizzes that take up multiple home pages... Nowadays, we use it for pictures and to write on our friends walls (and to do the occasional stalking), but we don't spend as much time on Facebook as we do on...
     2. Twitter:  "Twitter is the new Facebook", as some like to say.  Its a place where you can tweet whatever you want whenever you want, simply because that's what its meant for.  Twitter is new to some people, but to me, its older then Facebook.  My eighth grade core teacher made me a Twitter as a joke, and I actually used it.  I got so much crap about having a Twitter from my closest friends for over a year because, without exaggeration, I was the first of the all people I know to have a Twitter.  Now, I'm no longer a solo tweeter.  Welcome children... Tweet away.
     3. Instagram:  For all those cool kids out there who have iPhones (which is a thurnumbus amount of Danville students), you know that Instagram is the way to go.  On Instagram, you can add different effects to any photo that you take and share it in one place with your friends.  At first, it was just a way for us to make us look like professional photographers because we can make photos look vintage looking.  There has recently been some drama on Instagram... So early for it to be having drama?  I guess we'll see how long this social network lasts...
Be careful what you put on the Internet.  Seriously though, I mentioned the drama on Instagram:  People got hurt through that drama, but it was because of the ridicule of a girl who put a ridiculous photo of herself out there for everyone to see.  It was tecnically her fault and I have no empathy, sorry.  If you don't want to be judged, then don't put it out there.  Just be careful.
On a light and fluffy note: I matched my beautiful friend Ryan Spencer today!
      Now go tweet.
