Floral blouse, jeans (that are WAY too big for me), Vans hightops.
Everyone is officially in homecoming mode. Really, no big deal its not like its in two weeks from now. Out here in Danville, CA, homecoming is more then just a dance. Its an event.
Homecoming week is my favorite part of homecoming, not the actual dance. It means crazy outfits, tons of preppy spirit, and best of all: People getting ASKED to homecoming. People are so creative nowadays with the way they ask their dates. I think its adorable.
Alas, I once again will NOT be asked to homecoming. Third year running, that must be a record or something? Oh well, I'm so used to it that it doesn't even affect me now. Plus the only guy Id want to ask me isn't going to. So really, its fine.
I'm not even going to the dance, so even if I did get asked, Id have to be my normal heart breaker self and say "no". So to all of my many admirers, don't get any ideas now... I don't want to be put in that position.
I don't need a date or a dance though, no. I mean Monte Vista is going to have an incredible homecoming and everyone is going to have a great time, but its just not for me. I have my spirit and my crazy outfits and this blog. I'm a happy camper.
For all the men out there looking at this blog: God knows that all these lovely ladies are frantically choosing what they're gonna wear to homecoming. So start to think about what you're gonna wear, match your date and look sharp and put together, but throw a little bit of yourself into your outfit too. Tuck in your shirt, be a man.
