Day 9: Pasta

Urban Outfitters jean jacket, red dress, brown belt, cowboy boots, gold headband.
Due to my busy schedule last week, I deprived myself of my favorite thing in the world: Food.  Actually, that's a lie.  My favorite thing in the world is shopping.
So because of the lack of my second-favorite-thing-in-the-world, I binged.  In fact, I made over five dozen cookies for a block party, and by the time I walked them up the street... There were four dozen.
My indulging didn't just stop at sweets though... I had many salty snacks, chewy wonders, and a multitude of meat.  And of course some fruit too, I'm trying to watch my figure.
The one thing that made me stop eating... Whole wheat pasta.
Umm, excuse me?  Who invented whole wheat pasta?
Whole wheat pasta is like the nerdy, younger-brother of all pastas.  Gary made an incredible pesto, and I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have because it was served with whole wheat pasta.  I think I'll take the extra calories of regular pasta to enjoy the goodness of my fathers homemade meal.  Apparently it's healthier for you.  Well dirt has more protein than an Oreo, but you don't see me eating mud for dessert.  Unless "pie" comes after the word "mud", then we'll talk.
A new week is a new start for opportunities that are... new.  I thought today I'd go a little western with my outfit choice as a change.  I found out later this afternoon that this week is a theme week for Monte Vista and that Thursday will also be a day for country apparel.  I suppose I'm just ahead of the game.  Get on my level.
Thank you to Jamie and Lexi for looking stunning today... As usual.
